The organisation was originally formed as a voluntary group in 2002 and registered as a charity in 2010. We hold regular Patient Education Forums with a Consultant Rheumatologist and other health professionals. These forums take the form of a question and answer session where anyone suffering with one or more of the 200 types of arthritis, their family, carers and friends are welcomed. Those attending find it particularly useful to be able to chat to people with similar conditions as their own.
Our telephone help line and signposting service direct people to local exercise and therapeutic groups that are suitable for arthritis sufferers.
We provide an accessible raised bed allotment with volunteer help to grow vegetables and fruit organically.
We work closely with East London Radio and have made our first programme which went live in 2014. We are now looking forward to making many more programmes with ELR with our imminent move to Cranbrook Centre.
The Charity actively campaigns to improve services for arthritis sufferers in the London Borough of Redbridge and advocates for its service users.
Other projects, self-help sessions and Patient Education Forums are published in the events section.
